A MESSAGE FROM ME....
As a mum of 3 boys I know only too well how hard it can be to keep them active especially as they get into their teenage years when you are battling screens, social media and the after effects of Covid.

I spent 20 years as a teacher, where head of PE was one of my many roles - I saw first-hand how hard it was to engage many children in PE sessions either due to a lack of equipment or lack of interest from the children themselves - something had to change! Children were becoming less active and many parents seemed to be accepting that their inactive children were doing just fine but unfortunately this sedentary lifestyle is setting them up for a lifetime of physical and mental health issues - I decided to try to find something else to engage them in exercise - which is when I came upon Born to Move.

As a gym fanatic I was already heavily involved in fitness and participated daily in Les Mills group exercise classes. I felt the buzz of the endorphins being released, I saw the training benefits on my body from participating in a range of classes, I experienced making some of the best friendships with like-minded people - I just felt completely at home in the gym environment. If I could get young people to experience this type of class and energy, this type of buzz and feeling of belonging, I was sure they would be engaged and interested in keeping fit and active and the impact on their physical and mental health would be immense.

I discovered Les Mills had group exercise classes for young people similar to the ones I had experience of participating in and absolutely loved so I trained in Born To Move and discovered for myself how amazing I felt during the workouts - the routines are dynamic and exciting incorporating dance, martial arts, combat, strength, conditioning, yoga and relaxation. Born to Move not only offers a high cardio workout that gets children sweating and breathing hard but also brings fun, social interaction and structured physical routines that can bring about a sense of belonging, improve self-esteem, and offer a healthy outlet for emotional expression, reducing stress and anxiety in children and teens promoting their overall wellbeing.
Born to Move has something for everyone and I believe that for many young people experiencing Born To Move could change their lives in so many ways.

I look forward to seeing you all very soon....
